Accomplishments

GJA is committed to working with the community, local elected representatives, state and county officials, local businesses and developers to preserve the way of life we value so much. By following a master plan for the area, GJA acts as a watchdog group in representing the community.

Our accomplishments include:

• Supported broad land conservation efforts in the community.
• Assisted Jacksonville Senior Center, Carroll Manor Recreation Council in development of the Community Center.
• Persuaded Baltimore County to change its proposed plans for school bus parking and maintenance facility on Paper Mill Road.
• Petitioned for zoning changes in two CZMP protecting community from rampant growth.
• Worked with County through GJA Zoning Committee to enforce county code requirements.
• Supported other neighborhood associations in zoning and development issues.
